Coach and Horses, Whitstable

Welcome to the Coach & Horses Whitstable

A traditional pub in Whitstable, the Coach & Horses is the place to savour classic Kentish ales by the coast.

Nestled neatly at the north end of Whitstable High Street, the Coach and Horses is a traditional 17th century pub serving up Sunday lunch, superb ales and cosy shelter from the sea breeze.

It’s the perfect place to quench your thirst, with proper Kentish ales and lagers from Shepherd Neame, Britain’s oldest brewer, always sure to go down well after a day at the seaside.

There’s also a super selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks here, to be enjoyed either in the traditional bar, or out in the suntrap courtyard garden.

Whatever the weather, a warm welcome is extended to all (including well-behaved children and well-behaved dogs), so there’s no reason not to bring all the family together over our famous Sunday roast.

We might only serve food once a week, but it’s undoubtedly worth the wait...

Sunday roast

For a delicious Sunday lunch in Whitstable, look no further than the Coach and Horses. We don’t serve food in the week, so we pull out all the stops on a Sunday - with locally sourced roast beef, chicken, lamb or pork served with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and lashings of rich gravy.

You can then treat yourself to one of our delicious desserts…if you have room, that is.
